The Sun

As we all know, the Sun is a star in our solar system which provides us heat, light and life itself.  There would be no life on earth without him.  He is the center of extreme power.  All the planets revolve around the Sun due to his huge gravitational force and receive their light from him.  He is the ruler of all planets and is the only source of energy.  Other planets reflect only his light.

The luminary’s rays are connected with the inner most spirit of human beings, making him the “Soul of the Universe” representing the life-force on Earth.  In Vedic Astrology, he has been described as the Soul (Atma) of all beings, who is the ‘self’ of a person.

According to Vedic astrology, the Sun is not only the significator or karaka planet for one’s soul, father, authority, name and fame, but also of the first and the ninth house in a birth chart.  Being the king of all planets, he is found to be the significator of bravery, courage and dominance.

The Sun is the ruler (lord) of the zodiac sign, Leo.  He gives us vitality, power of resistance and immunity.  He is also responsible for our physical constitution, will power, intellect, brilliance, prosperity, success in worldly affairs, personal conduct, activity, cheerfulness, good fortune, ambition, fame, the understanding of the phenomenal world, and the knowledge of medicine.

The Royal Fire Ball is worshiped as the God Himself in many cultures all over the world.  So, let us conserve, make use of the solar power and energy in a wise manner and make way for a better Earth going forward!
